The neo-Gothic church stands next to a small rocky hill east of the Hotel Glacier du Rhône. According to a note in the Seiler family archives, the four statues came from a house in Raron and were acquired by Julius Salzgeber in 1935. Other sources indicate that the statues formerly stood in the porch of St. Catherine's Chapel in Wiler near Geschinen. St. Antonius Eremita, early 16th c. -hl. St. Peter, end of 15th c. - St. Sebastian, 1st half of 16th c. - St. Joseph with the child, middle of 17th c. The bronze altar cross and forged reading desk were made in 1966 by Hans Loretan from Brig. The forged tabernacle from 1969 was made by the same artist.
