After the start, there is a short climb followed by a longer traverse before the long, varied, flowing descent. Most of the route is characterised by flowing, sometimes technical downhill trails that make every biker's heart beat faster; and unfailingly with a fantastic view over the entire Goms high valley, weather permitting. The Hungerberg mountain restaurant is well worth a stop for a break on the panoramic sun terrace with local delicacies.

The post bus takes you comfortably to the start of the descent on the pass. Advance reservation of bike transportation is recommended. The trail begins at the top of the pass and starts with an easy ascent on a military road to below the Mutt Glacier, whose meltwater streams you cross by bike. This is followed by a very beautiful, somewhat technical but not too demanding traverse along the Hirschplatte until the trail turns southwest above Rossji.
The subsequent valley descent is initially technically easy until you cross at Bidmer in the direction of Firbäch. It then becomes steep but still flowing until you finally reach Gand via more technical sections. After a short time, the last singletrail section turns onto the forest road towards Hungerberg. It contains short, steep sections where you will need to push your bike in places. The route then heads towards Unner Äbnet to the forest road which leads to Oberwald and from there along the Rotten cycle path to Ulrichen station.
